Frequently Asked Questions
Who do I contact if I want to do major landscaping, modify the paint color on my house, or make any other alterations to the lot or house?
Please perform due diligence prior to any tree cutting, digging, etc. Review the Town of Farragut ordinances. Applicable ordinances may include but are not limited to the following: property maintenance, a sinkhole (the immediate area around a sinkhole shall be disturbed as little as possible; cutting trees, etc.), grading and drainage, etc. Reference ARTICLE XIV PIPELINE for provisions as there are strict requirements for those houses in the subdivision where pipeline(s) are located. Also, remember to call 811, Tennessee 811 (TN811) (tenn811.com) to locate underground utilities to your house.
The HOA requires a review of building alterations, reference X MCFEE MANOR ADVISORY COMMITTEE located in the covenants. “No building shall be erected, placed altered (including, without limitation, any change of exterior color), or permitted to remain on any Lot until the building plans and specifications and a plan showing the location of a dwelling have been approved in writing by the McFee Manor Advisory Committee as to the quality of workmanship and materials, the harmony of exterior design with existing structures and as to location with respect to topography and finish grade level and elevation.” To request a change to the building on a lot, complete the Architectural Approval Request Form at least 60 days prior to work start. This will give ample time for the Board to review and discuss with the homeowner.
Who do I call if I see or find someone dumping on HOA property (homeowners’ lots or common ground)?
Please contact one of the Board of Directors, Reference Town of Farragut Litter ordinance (Chapter 14 – NUISANCES AND PROPERTY MAINTENANCE | Code of Ordinances | Farragut, TN | Municode Library), Code of Ordinances of the Town of Farragut, Tennessee, Chapter 14 – Nuisances and Property Maintenance, Sec. 14-34. – Litter
